Rosemarie Lion Photography specializes in Fine Art Documentary Wedding Photography. With our expertise as wedding photojournalists, my husband Gerard and I will record your celebration in a unique, individual and above all relaxed, yet professional way.
Influenced by our European background, we combine old-world craftsmanship with a modern vision.

We serve the San Francisco Bay Area, the Northern California Wine country, and as far as Europe to cover your personal story. Together, we are fluent in English, French, German, and Spanish. You could say we add that certain “Je ne sais quoi.”

Rosemarie Lion:
Rose is a native of Austria with a B.A. in Photojournalism from San Francisco State University and a graduate of the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop. Her work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and books. Today, she applies her love for capturing people and their stories to wedding photography. She has a unique talent to blend photo-journalism, portraiture & art to capture the unique personalities and style of each wedding.

Rose is an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalism Association (WPJA) and proudly listed as a certified wedding professional by Here Comes The Guide.

Gerard Lion:
French, traveler, musician, and photographer, met Rose during a photo assignment at a Bay Area college. Since then, Gerard and Rose have worked on many projects together, photographic and personal ones. Gerard's colorful personality and style adds a refreshing dimension to their work

After seven years in San Francisco, Rose & Gerard Lion now live with their son in the Sonoma Wine Country, just a short drive north of San Francisco.
